Question	:	The standards don't fit me right, how can I be sure these will?
Answer	:	Breast shield size is determined by nipple diameter rather than by cup size. If the diameter of your protruding nipple (not the areola) is larger than the diameter of a nickel, you will need a larger breast shield in order to pump comfortably. All breast pumps come with standard size (24mm to 25mm) breast shields. Some brands such as Ameda and Medela, offer compatible breast shields in varying sizes as additional accessories for their pumps. Each Ameda breast pump and/or HygieniKit comes with standard (25mm) breast shields. For moms who need larger shields, Ameda offers two options Medium/Large shields with 28.5mm and 30.5mm and X-Large/XX-Large shields with 32.5mm and 36mm. Moms who require a smaller shield can try the Small reducing insert (22.5mm) or the Extra-Small flexishield areola (21mm).

Answer	:	Yes they are. The Medium is 28.5 mm. and the large is 30.5 mm, the Medium will be a little larger than the standard size.
