The First Years miPump Double Electric Breast Pump

I am pretty happy with this pump for the price. It is fairly quiet and cleans up easily. I just started having a problem with the motor cutting out while pumping (after about 3 months)and I don't even use it that often. I called the company and they are sending me a replacement and they were very nice about it. My only other complaint is the shape of the collection cups makes it difficult to pour out all of the milk. Some of it will pool in the cups and be wasted which is frustrating.

Buyer beware!!! Do not purchase this product it is very painful and does not work well at all. I had used the Medela at the hospital but it was expensive so I did not purchase one. Well I found out you pay for what you get. The Medela was comfortable and took no time at, which is something all moms need! The First Years pump no where near compares. After 10 minutes I did not even get an ounce of milk. It hurt the entire time I pumped. I called First Years to try and return the product which was used once and will never be used again. I had the reciept the product was bought that week and half of the extras that came with pump remain unopened, none of this matters to the company. The customer service was awful. The woman was rude and so extremely unhelpful or sympathetic. This is a lot of money for me a single mother, as well as any mom out there, to spend and was the biggest waste. Now researching the product I see 99% of the reviews say the exact same thing. Do not make the same mistake I did!! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PRODUCT! I will never again buy anything from this company after their total disregard for their customers. BEWARE MOMS!!!"

I bought this because I needed to boost my milk production. The only problem was spending $200 to $300 was not an option for me so I decided to try a manual pump first. Unfortunately, I spent about $30 and the pump didn’t work for me. That is when I started looking for another option and found the miPump. This pump was able to get my milk flowing from the first time that I used it.

I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated when I first opened the box because there were quite a few more pieces to deal with than with the manual pump. Though once I became familiar with the pieces, I found that it is fairly easy to use and move around.

This pump is very quiet compared to what I had expected. The T-Bar is great to use because it leaves a free hand though it can be awkward and it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. The pump works very well for me, but I wish it had stronger suction. I think I would be able to pump more milk in each sitting if I was able to turn the suction up a little more.
