"This is the pump they gave me at the hospital when my daughter was born.
Pros:
It is super easy to put together and clean afterwards.
The suction is easy to manipulate with the one handed pump mechanism.
I have used it 2-3 times a week for 3+ months without any problems. The original valve continues to work great.
You can actually clip on and use bags verses the bottle that comes with it. (although it does take some practice taking them off when full)
Cons:
A little long to pump one side while feeding from the other. It can be done, just takes a bit of adjusting.
Would definitely recommend it for the primarily breast feeding mom that pumps occasionally."

"I've been really happy with this purchase. Perfect for mamas that are mainly nursing and want to use this as a back up. Love the design for the one handed pump. Easy to clean and you can use most other brands of bottles."

"This is a great inexpensive manual pump! The lactation counselor at the hospital where my son was born actually gives this pump to moms after one month of successful breastfeeding. It is easy to use, very comfortable, and easy to take apart for cleaning and re-assemble. This pump is perfect for a mom that wants to pump daily to have extra milk stored for someone else to give baby a feeding, or to use to make cereal when baby is older. I would not recommend this pump if you plan to use it more than once a day, just because it would get old using it, washing it, and putting it back together every time. But if once or twice daily use is what you have in mind, this is the pump for you!"

"I’ve had this pump for a couple of months now, and I have to say it is very easy to assemble and use. It’s so easy, I can even use it while nursing my son on the other side. This pump also cleans up really easily and you can even sterilize it."

"This pump is great! The different suction levels made it easy for me to get used to pumping. It literally only took me five minutes to set it up the first time, and now only takes a little more than a minute, which makes it much easier than I expected to use at work. The quick set up of the Purely Yours provides me with sufficient time during my break to pump. The closed style of the pump makes clean-up only necessary for the breast cups, bottles and the little valves. I use a bottle brush to clean the cups but only hand wash valves because the brush will tear them."

"The Ameda Purely Yours is very easy to assemble and use. Clean up is fairly easy as well except you need to hand wash the white valves; however, I assume this is true with any breast pump. Overall, I am very happy with this pump although the motor is a little noisier than I had expected. "

"I received my pump two days after I ordered it. I was initially nervous about purchasing a breast pump since they are a bit pricey and you cannot try them out. I decided to buy this one after much research because it seemed to be a really good pump, and it was reasonably priced.
This pump works great! The first time I used it, I was able to express about 2 ounces from each breast in about 15 minutes. Most of the moms that work at my office used the Medela pumps, but I have been happy with my choice from day one.
The collection parts for this pump even came pre assembled, which really helped me to see how everything fits together without having to figure it out with an instruction booklet."

"I have used this breastpump for 2 children now. My first child I pumped exclusively for over 1 year (no formula supplementing)...so this breastpump I used ALOT. No problems at all. Around the 1 yr mark the motor died (I understood though with as much as I used it), but the customer service people replaced it anyway (although the warranty was expired). I am now using the replacement pump three years later with my second child...She is 3 months old now and no problems with the breastpump (even though it was in storage for over 3 years). This is a great breastpump and the customer service is amazing."

"For a mom-to-be pregnant with twins, I thought purchasing a good hospital grade pump would probably be needed. I was gunghoe on nursing the girls...not to meantion the savings in formula costs. Well, I lucked out and found this one on ebay brand new in packaging for $130 - good deal, right? At $200, $300, or $400 this would have been a GREAT deal. This pump ROCKS! My girls ended up being born 8 weeks early and this allowed me to pump exclusively until the girls were ready to nurse - 3 months later! No need to rent a pump - this is a good as you can get without owning a huge cumbersome hospital unit. Plus, the car adapter was a must with me. I pumped while driving (not sure what the cops would have thought about that - but mom has to do what she has to do). Then it can take batteries - great if you want to take it to the county fair or a sporting event. Plus, it is totally compatible with all hospital pump parts (made by Ameda - my hospital used ameda). Any way - this pump saved me money on formula (I probably would have given up if my supply dwindled - but this pump kept it up there) and it allowed me to get out of the house. This thing was my best friend for 3 months straight. Highly recommended and easy to use!"

"Unlike many moms I know, I do not find great ease in pumping. For some reason I struggle. It may have something to do with not being relaxed while performing this art. However, since I started using this pump, I have become a pro (at least in comparison to what I was before). This pump is a dream compared to the pumps I have tried in the past. It works very efficiently. Great buy!"

"I chose the Ameda pump with the backpack because it was less expensive than most of its competitors.
The suction on this pump is a little weaker than I thought it would be. I’m still able to pump enough for my
baby, but I think that I would be able to get more had I spent a little more for a stronger pump. Also the
pump motor is kind of loud. I’ve heard that the pumps with motors that are built in the bags are a lot quieter.
I still plan on using this pump, but I’ll always wonder if I made the right choice."

"I bought this pump because I knew I would only pump 1 time a day (for back-up bottles) and I didn't want to shell out lots of money. It has been a good pump, but if you are well endowed you will need to order larger horns for about $15 because otherwise the pump hurts a bit. The fact that I had to buy extra horns is the only reason I'm giving this pump 4 stars instead of 5."

"I have been using this pump at work for the past 5 months and have been pleased. I had one issue and Ameda was quick to send me another pump. It fit the pump parts I was given in the hospital, so I have 2 sets of horns--a huge bonus. I would definitely buy it again."

"Absolutely love this pump!! Without this pump it would have been impossible for me to continue breastfeeding my son. I can’t say that there is anything that I don’t like about this pump. It is even easy to clean. I love the fact that the tubing never needs to be washed. My sister had a Medela and always complaining about washing the tubing and waiting for it to dry out. The Purely Yours is also really lightweight as well which was a plus for me. "

"The Purely Yours Pump is really easy to carry around in the included bag. I really liked the idea of the built in bottle holders because I’m a bit of a klutz and I was worried that I would spill my precious milk everywhere. The holders help me out a lot. I am still surprised that I haven’t had a disastrous spill yet. The only thing that bothered me about this pump was that it was noisier than I would have liked."
