  1. Great for Mom on the GoPosted on 5/11/12

I have a 3 year old and a new baby. I started using the Simplesse pump because I heard from my girlfriend that it was fast and didn't hurt like the pump I had with baby #1. I am able to pump all I need in about 5-7 minutes whereas before it would take 10-15 minutes. Those minutes are precious when you are chasing a toddler around! I also find this pump to be much more comfortable--the tapping sensation is so much better than the pulling sentation of other pumps. LOVE THIS PUMP!!

  2. Best Breast Pump!Posted on 5/11/12

    i love this breast pump!!
It is easy & gentle on my nipples and very effective in getting milk quickly which is great for busy moms like me and such a pleasant experience. If there was anything i would change it would be the sound...again all pumps sound this way, but since i am on phone alot for my job it would be great if it were just a bit quieter :) while i am busy multitasking. Again i love this pump and would recommend that all new moms get one.

  3. Working Mom!Posted on 5/11/12

I started using this pump very soon after the birth of my first child. I needed it at the start to build up a stock for when I went back to work and now I use it at work. It's the only pump I've ever used so I have nothing to compare it to.

    Cons first:
-After 5 months it is taking longer to get the same amount. I've had to start doing it one at a time which is hard when at work (could just be me though because I'm now supplementing with formula)
-The little red rubber-bands on the tubing can fall off causing loss of suction
    -Lots of parts to clean
-It's a little noisy but my colleagues who I share a locker room with-where I pump at work-say it helps lull them to sleep (FYI: my job requires overnights sometimes)

    Pros:
-The bag makes it very easy to schlep the pump around
    -It's very comfortable
-Customer service is excellent and this could make all the difference.
-when I first started breastfeeding, I had some trouble and was getting very frustrated. The woman I spoke to at customer service took the time to answer all my questions I had about breastfeeding (nothing to do with pumping at all) and said I could call anytime and speak with a lactation consultant.
-I broke one of the plastic parts (I screwed the bottle in too tight) and had a new replacement-plus extra parts-delivered the next day, no charge.

**just a side note: I would recommend getting a hands-free pumping bra for anyone using a double electric pump, especially if you are using it at work.

  4. Loud but GoodPosted on 1/23/12

It works as described and feels much better than the other style pumps. I've been using the Medela Pump In Style and it was pulling too much. There's no friction with the Simplisse. I haven't used it enough yet to compare milk volume. I found it louder than the Medela, and louder than I'd like -- not vacuum cleaner loud, but enough to have to speak louder and turn up the volume on music/tv.

  5. Very gentle, not super practicalPosted on 9/8/11

I received this pump as a gift and I was very excited about using it. However, after a couple of months it just became a chore to take the bazillion pieces apart, clean them and re-assemble after every pumping session.

If you only pump a couple times a week and want a very comfortable, gentle pump, this will be PERFECT for you. But, if you will be pumping 3-5 times a day at work and need something quick and easy to use, look elsewhere.

  6. ComfortablePosted on 5/24/11

I was amazed on how comfortable this pump was! It felt so much like breastfeeding. I had no trouble with being able to express or with let-down. I was annoyed on how many parts there were but became more comfortable with assembly after using it awhile. I liked how the parts were dishwasher safe. Comes with a nice leather bag and loved the storage bottles and bags. Pump is loud and had some trouble with the tubing coming disconnected while pumping after 2 months of use. I would recommend this pump however to any mom that wants a comfortable pumping experience.

My wife is currently using this product, it is a bit noisy but rather comfortable in comparison to other systems. I am not sure what the production rate of breast pumps is supposed to be but this one seems to lack efficiency (perhaps a trade-off for the comfort) because it takes a half hour to fill a bottle half way.

Now that I have returned to work an electric pump has really come in handy. I decided to purchase this pump since I received a Simplisse manual companion as a gift. So far I am very pleased with its performance and I find it just as comfortable as the manual. My only complaint would be the amount of noise its makes; however, I’m sure all electric pumps make noise. I would definitely recommend this pump!

  9. Breast Pumping made comfortablePosted on 1/20/11

The Simplisse Double Electric Breast Pump was not at all what I expected. It didn't "tug" at my breasts, which everyone said pumping would do. The soft silicone breast shields are extremely gentle and make for a pleasant experience. Having the stands to set the collection bottles in after pumping is a nice bonus, as well.....it's the little things.
